Looking for inexpensive hotel in Orlando, Port Canaveral
We are taking a Carnival cruise out of Port Canaveral next week. We are going down early to spend a day at Typhoon Lagoon. I would like to find an inexpensive (but clean) hotel in the Orlando area or somewhere between Orlando and Port Canaveral.
We have 5 in our family - 2 adults, 2 13-year-olds, and 1 10-year-old. Any suggestions on an inexpensive place to stay for two nights? Having 5 people instead of 4 tends to complicate booking most hotel rooms.
We will be spending a very minimal amount of time at the hotel, so I'd like to spend as little as possible and save the money for Typhoon Lagoon and the cruise instead. Thanks.
Well, there are tons of inexpensive hotels in the area surrounding Disney World, I would suggest you search on hotels.com or Travelocity.com. Try searching in the Lake Buena Vista area, there is a nice Residence Inn five minutes from Downtown Disney and Typhoon Lagoon that would accommodate your group which includes breakfast, the rooms also have a small kitchen. There are a few hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd., again close to Typhoon Lagoon, but they might be cost prohibitive. There is also a Holiday Inn Sunspree on SR 535 very close to Downtown Disney that have a separate themed children's room with bunk beds. Disney's All Star Resorts are value resorts but I don't know what the room rates are right now. The good thing about staying on Disney property is the free transportation anywhere on Disney property from the resorts and complimentary transportation from the airport.
