which hotels have best view of cruise ships Miami port
Help! It's our 1st cruise ,and we're arriving in Miami the day before. We would like to stay near the port of Miami with a view of the ships in the AM. We are thinking about staying at either the Holiday Inn, Hyatt Regency or the Intercontinental- we would like a hotel with the best view of the ships (we think that would be exciting!) and also a nice pool area to relax at - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!
Thanks for the info ! Is the pool area nice ? We're hoping to have time to relax at the pool -Also, I found a web site Hotels and Deals.com and the price for the Intercontinental was around 180.00,this seems like a good deal-but I dont know about this web site -maybe I should call the hotel like you said to request a room with a view- but Im sure I'll have to pay a lot more- again, thanks so much !!
Ask for a room with a view of the port and as high as possible.
Morning sunrise is pretty sweet to.
Dig up Kuki's article on Pricelining yourself into a room at the IH.
The pool doesnt have a view of the port. Wrong side.

You could try their direct website & check hotel prices. Or check out these websites, most of them will be within a few $$ of each, others won't.
Yahoo.com (click on travel section on the lower left)
I can't speak for the other sites, but I know on Yahoo you only make a reservation only & then pay when you get to the hotel. The other sites I think you might have to pay in full on the website immediately when booking a room.
If you belong to any clubs, AAA, FF miles, etc., try their sites also. I know American Airlines travel section sometimes has a hefty discount only because I'm a member with them.
