No doubt at all .. InterContinental!! If you can get that for the same price as a HI you've got a bargain. A GREAT hotel!

i don't have any personal experience with those particular hotels, but as a chain goes i would choose Intercontinetal over Holiday Inn anyday, and for the same price? good deal.

We stayed at the Intercontinental before our cruise last April. It was a fab hotel.

stayed at the Holiday Inn in Port of Miami and wasn't impressed. Carpet was worn, wall paper pealing from the walls, furniture worn. The place needs a remodel. I stayed in Sept. '05 so this may be OLD news....but if they haven't remodeled since then.....it is likely to be even worse! I stay in a lot of Holiday Inns because of a commercial contract....but that stay rates in the bottom 10 of "pleasant experiences"

No brainer on this one: For the same price, the Intercontinental is the clear choice.

Take care,

My only suggestion would be to be sure the Intercontinental pricing you received is for the one downtown. There is another one in Miami that is usually less expensive, but not as close to the port.
