Default Cocoa Beach hotel & Taxi fares

Cruising in March. I think we are staying at Comfort Inn Cocoa Beach the night before. 1 blcok from ocean, near Cocoa Beach Pier. Any feedback on this hotel? Also oes anyone know how much a taxi would be from Coca Beach to the RCI cruise ship in Port Canaveral? Thanks

I have stayed there in the older section, it's okay. Ask for a room in the newer part. They have a walkway to the beach and they didn't offer a continental breakfast but had a short order cook out by the pool for a small fee. There is an IHOP across the street too. It's only about 3 miles or so to the port but nstead of a taxi you might want to check into Art's Shuttle for about $5/pp.

The last few times we stayed at the Hampton Inn a few door down and liked it better. Better room, view and a free continental breakfast.
