Jacksonville FL pre-cruise hotel

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Jacksonville? My family will be flying in a day before our cruise, and we would like something either by the airport or close to the port. Any tips on ground transportation would also be appreciated.

We live in the Jacksonville area so could advise. When will you be arriving? Interested in staying at the beach? The port is close to the airport. We have several clean and fairly new hotels, Hampton Inn, Fairfield, and Marriott Courtyard would be my recommendations. Possible transportation from the airport to the hotel provided as well. The beach area would be higher of course. Our weather in the winter is unpredictable, could be in the 40's or 70's, changes daily too!!

The Holiday Inn on Duvall, it is close to the airport, has indoor pool, resturant, bar and will shuttle you from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the port. Great place stayed there in November before a cruise.
