Cruise port is about 1/2 mile north of the Seattle bridge.
I recommend the Red Lion Inn at the south end of Marginal Way or any hotel near the airport.
Not much to recommend near the port as it is functional only....downtown is an extreme pain in the other area.
If you show up a day early, make certain that you visit Boeing's Museum of Flight.

The airport hotels are about 20 minutes from downtown and in general are not as nice as the downtown hotels. There is not much to do or see near Seatac airport I.M.H.O.

You may want to stay at a downtown hotel near Pikes Market or some other tourist attraction. Pike's Market is very fun to explore. The downtown hotels are much closer to the two cruise terminals.

I'd try a four star hotel bid on Priceline or get a four star price from Hotwire or Hotels . Com.

Any of the four star downtown hotels will be very nice, close to attractions, and a short cab ride to either terminal for your cruise. We had a lovely stay at the Crown Plaza. It is only 31/2 stars and we were able to stay there for $56 plus taxes and fees using Priceline. It is close to everthing.

Lindalou,
To answer your question, the Red Lion hotels are across the street from the airport and also at the foot of East Marginal Way... about 5 minutes from the airport. All have airport shuttles.
The one on East Mariginal Way is about 1/2 way between the airport and the cruise port. It has a nice restaurant and lounge.
With your late arrival I'd bag the downtown hotels.

Thank you for your comments so far. We think staying downtown is better for us. We need a place to store our luggage while we explore Pikes Market and other suggestions. Any hotel suggestions
