Default SanDiego hotel closest to port under $200

I'm cruising for the first time on HAL Jan 12-18 2008. I'd like to book a hotel closet to the port, within lets say walking distance,of where we need to go.
Anyone have any good suggestions on places they've stayed before?
Would like to stay the night of the 11th for under $200.
Thanks

This is a beautiful hotel right on the Water, close to shopiing & nightlife and the pier - not sure about price, though.

Embassy Suites San Diego Bay Downtown from $166.00 USD
601 Pacific Highway
San Diego, CA 92101 US

Bristol Hotel from $139.00 USD
1055 1st Avenue
San Diego, CA 92101 US

FYI - San Diego is a city worth arriving early and seeing the zoo and museums - a beautiful city with great climate.

And if you have alot of time take a nice drive out east of SD to Cuyamaca State Park and the town of Julian. Beautiful scenery. That time of year there may be snow in Julian. There is a winery in Julian. Or, drive over the Coranado bridge to Coronado. The Hotel Del Cornado used to do a nice champagne brunch on Sundays.

Holiday Inn at the Embarcadero on Harbor Drive. Can see the Star of India from a bay view room for 179.00. Standard balcony (no view) is 149.00. I always stay there...splurge and stay another day.
Walk to the terminal.

Hampton Inn is 109.00 a night (on expedia) with a shuttle from the airport and also to the cruise terminal.

The Holiday Inn Embarcadero location is directly across the street from the cruise terminal. and within walking distance of Seaport Village, downtown, and a very short taxi ride to/from the airport, Old Town and Balboa Park.

Best Western Bayside Inn
They have a free shuttle to the port.
I think we paid $139.
