Default Yet Another Miami Hotel Question

Hi Everyone, looks like we are going to jump on a last minute cruise in March. With all of our past cruises, this will only be our 3rd out of Miami. One of those we stayed in Miami and really liked hanging out at Bayside Market. This leads me to my question. I have seen lots of comments here about area hotels such as the Holiday Inn, Intercontinental, etc. but the thing I have not been able to see is this: which hotels near the port are within walking distance of Bayside? I know the Holiday Inn is but it appears to totally sold out the week we need. We stayed at the old Riande which I believe is now the Continental Bayside. That might be a possibilty but I remember reading some pretty bad reviews of that place a few years ago and when we were there in 2003, it was getting pretty dingy. I think it's under new ownership now but don't know. Anyway, I don't know what else is within walking distance of Bayside so it's tough trying to figure out what to try. Does anyone have any info on this. Thanks

Chip

We almost had this hotel but then read nothing but bad stuff about it all over the net. The good folks in the Turkey CM group allowed us their extra room at the Holiday Inn just across the street from Bayside.

Thanks for asking the question Chip.
I'm looking into the Hyatt (downtown ) also.And the rates are close to the Holiday Inn Downtown.The Hyatt - $169.00 per night, Holiday Inn $161.00 per night. Thats for August too.
I'm also tring to do this through Priceline with no luck. And like you, I'm wanting to stay close to The Bayside Market Place . The wife and I really enjoyed it there in 2006.

Happy Sailing to all;
David

Default Best Western Bayside Hotel - Stayed Multiple Times

The Best Western Bayside was AAA 3 Star rated...right across the street from the entrance to Bayside. Loved it and have stayed there twice. Very clean, extra nice and safe area. Single Mom and teenager daughter - loved the hotel.
