Default Barcelona pre/cruise

HI, I'm taking my girls on the NCL Gem from Barcelona in July as a graduation from high school gift.

Anyone have suggestions for a decent hotel in Barcelona that would be close to the Ramblas or Gothic area?

Thanks,
Beth

We stayed at the Apsis Milenni. It is right in the Las Ramblas district and only a few blocks from the pier. Very clean and completely refurbished. The help is excellent and all speak english! I found a great deal on this one through the internet, it was $99 per night. Cheap for Europe!

We have stayed at the Ciutat Vella Hotel, 1 minute from the Ramblas.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great location in center of city + free bottled water and internet. We have booked this hotel at http://www.hotels-n-europe.com/cruiseporthotels.html, you can search for your hotel near the ramblas or near the cruise port.

I have reservations with the Holiday Inn Express, for one night in Nov, prior to our RCCL cruise. Its a few miles from the pier and about 12 miles from the airport. I haven't stayed there before, but the price seems great: $139.00. The address is: C/ PALLARS 203, Barcelona. Anyone familiar with this place?

I always stay at the http://www.hotelcontinental.com/home_ramblas.htm
it is right on the Rambla. You must book as early as possible as they always are full.
