We stay at the Lago Mar right on the beach. Each morning we go out to the rocks and sit there with a cup of coffee and watch the ships come in right in front of us. The resort is right there next to the port. We love it!!

Happy Sailing
Sandy

Default View of ships

The ships arrive when it is dark, around 5 AM.

Request tower with Port View, you may be able to see the lights on the ships.

The Hyatt Pier 66 (954) 525-6666 and the Fort Lauderdale Grande Yacht Club

I was at Marriott on the beach. My balcony looked right at the port; I saw six ships leave on Saturday, and six arrive on Sunday. I missed Allure's arrival because it comes in at 4am. I didn't wake up till 5am.

It is dark out when the ships enter the port.
You may see the lights on the ships.
Go to Google Earth, you can view all the hotels in the Port area.
