Default Intercontinental Hotel Miami

Found a great rate (at least to me) thru EasyClickTravel.Com. The hotel website lists $351/night, calling EasyClick direct I got a rate of $177 plus tax, coming to $205. Online the rate was $181, but was listed as a 5 star close to Bayside, not giving any name. Going at end of May with my kids on the Carnival Liberty, wanted to get this out of way. Satisfied with price. The Epic Hotel just opened, was cheaper, but further away from Bayside. Looks very nice. Also, every room has a balcony!!! Check it out on Youtube.

My husband and I have stayed at the Omni Intercontinental at Bayside a few times. We loved it. We book it through hotelsanddeals.com. Depending on the time of year, we have gotten it for $115.00 a night. Walking distance to Bayside. There are lots of shops and nightly outside entertainment. The Metro (above ground subway) is free and its across the street. There is also a Walgreens near by and a Ross department store.

A couple of years ago when we sailed from Miami, we stayed at the Intercontinental the night before. Great hotel! Can't remember exactly what I paid, but found a good deal on easyclicktravel.

I got the Intercontinental Hotel on Chopin Place (opposite Bayside Marketplace) for $90 on Priceline. This was at the end of Sept. I bid 4 star downtown.

Take a look at the thread by fpflyer on this board, they got the Hyatt Regency in Feb for $85 - that's a good deal, on Priceline.

Default Well I just got ripped off!

I just (5 minutes ago) booked a harbor view room with 2 beds (staying with my mom) off their website for $289. I knew it was high, but it's pre-cruise and I wanted to ensure a harbor view to get excited for the cruise. I have never stayed here before because of the price and actually, seems like they are always sold out. Anyway, does anyone know if you can see the cruise ships from this hotel? I know you can see them from The Hilton and The Doubletree...both of them were sold out or I would have saved the cash. Oh well I'm still excited!!! Going end of May as well!

I have never stayed at the Intercontinental, but that is the reason I first booked it, it does have great views of the Harbor. Since then I changed my mind, I'm now booked at the Epic Hotel. Got a water view room cheaper, so I went for it. When are you going and what ship? I'm on Carnival Liberty on May 30.

Oh you'll have to post a review of the Epic. That was my next choice. Looks amazing. I'm on NCL leaving the week before you, but only the Monday-Friday Bahamas cruise...still so excited!
