Default Radisson Resort in Port Canaveral anyone?

I was just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at the Radisson Resort in Port Canaveral, FL. I am booked to stay there before our cruise in July and was wondering if there are any " must do's " while we are here. Thanks for the advice!

If I remember correctly, there is a really good Mexican restaraunt about 1/2 block away. You walk out of the front door of the hotel and you see it. We also did the Kennedy Space Center. Loved it!

Just spent a week about a mile from the Raddison.

La Fiesta Azteca is very close and reportedly good, though we didn't go there. Since you will be driving from Tampa, I would suggest driving down to the Cocoa Beach Pier and having delicious seafood and tasty libations while enjoying the view. Alternatively, drive into the port (away from the cruise ships) to Fish Lips, it was yummy.

All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by; John Masefield

I've stayed at the Radisson at the Port' it's a fun hotel. Not far from the port, it boasts a great pool with a waterfall and rock formations. Nice grounds to walk around. The night I was there before my cruise they had a barbecue in the pool area with terrific drinks. The best part was the shuttle which takes you to the port. Just make sure you reserve your spot on the shuttle because it makes scheduled runs.

You might want to go to trip advisor and check out the latest reviews. They are not good at all.
