Default Miami close to pier

Sailing on Liberty OTS in november. Does anybody know a good place to stay for a couple of days pre-cruise?

Would prefer something not too far from the cruiseport.

Thanks.

Manuel:

There are a number of hotels near the port. The Radisson is OK as is the Marriott and the Doubletree Grand. The Hyatt and Intercontinental are quite nice. All are close to Bayside Marketplace and a short cab ride to the port.

I suggest that when you get closer to your cruise date I would give Priceline a try. Bid 4* in the Downtown area and you will get the Hyatt, Intercontinental or the Marriott. I was able to get the Hyatt for $70 for my cruise last April. I've used Priceline for "almost" all of my cruises out of Miami and have stayed at the Marriott, Radisson, Intercontinental and the Hyatt. I've never paid more than $100.

One time I was unable to get a room on Priceline and had to book the Hyatt for $135.

Good luck,
Mike
