Default Hotel in Miami

We are looking for a hotel in Miami, preferrably downtown, reasonable. Does anyone have a good reference? We also would like shuttle service to port.

No downtown Miami hotels I know offer shuttle service to/from the port. Most of the airport hotels do. Cab fare from the downtown hotels is most likely going to be $10-15 max.

I find bidding on Priceline for downtown Miami hotels to be very effective. Bid 4 star downtown zone and you won't be unhappy with what you get.

that's a nice advice. I just did that, for the very first time and had never heard about that bidding thing before. Got a room for $105 at Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel And Marina and they only offer rooms for $149 on other booking websites for same day.

Hotels usually have a cruse package that includes two one-way trip to the Port. In downtown, there is the new Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell Downtown that has great reviews. Check their webpage: Miami Brickell Hotels: Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell Downtown, FL OFFICIAL WEBSITE. A new Hampton Inn & Suites hotel in Brickell Miami Downtown, brickell elegance priced right nestled between Conrad Hilton, JW Marriott, and Viceroy

There are many good hotels and restaurants where you can stay during your visit at Miami Beach but in my point of view The Tudor in South Beach is good for you. It is not right on the beach, but it's right behind the Versace Mansion and a 2 minutes walk to the beach and Ocean drive.
