Default Embassy Suites 17th Street FLL

We booked this hotel for our 9/2010 Solstice cruise, and had a couple of questions we are hoping we could get some info on.

Is there a shuttle to the port, and if so, how much is it? Would we be better off spending a few $$$ and taking a taxi?

It looks as if there is an outdoor pool. Is it somewhere where we could sit around and veg the day before we sail?

If memory serves, it is adjacent to a shopping area with a couple of restuarants and a grocery store, correct?

Any info would truly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Sid1962

Sid, there is no free shuttle service to the port form this hotel...you would need to book a pre cruise package, which would include transportation for 2 to the port. The hotel is so close to the port, the charges for a cab will be minimal.

Harbor Shops are next to Hyatt Place, the hotel next to the Embassy....here is a link for you....Publix Market, and lots of shops and restaurants..enjoy!

the outdoor pool area is great, lots of lounge chairs to just sit and veg, and the garden area inside the atrium is also a great cool place to hang out. Embassy Suites charges for their shuttle service, a cab might be a bit more but you can come and go as you please, not have to wait until the hotel van is full. If you do use the hotels shuttle service, book your time slot when you check in, the shuttles fill up quickly if i recall.
