Rodeway Inn FLL

It looks like Rodeway Inn is one of the top recommended hotels for pre-cruise stay. I was just wondering what was nearby in terms of shopping and dining? We will have an infant with us and I prefer places we can walk to, water taxi to or even shuttle (does the hotel provide shuttle service anywhere else but airport and cruise port?) so that we aren't lugging around a car seat while trying to shop. I just need a place to buy some basics like sun lotion, diapers, etc.

Any other tips, advice, whatever about this hotel is appreciated.

There is a CVS approximately one mile from the hotel .If you are driving from the airport to the hotel it will be on the drivers side of the road .

No, we won't be driving. We will get on the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and then want to leave the hotel to go shopping and out for something to eat once we are there. I prefer something that does not require the use of a car seat.

When you arrive at the hotel ask for James .He may be the shuttle driver .He was very helpful to us when we were at the hotel in 2010 .He may know of a closer store or he may be able to take you with the shuttle to CVS .

There is a restaurant in the hotel and they also serve a FREE breakfast ,the waffles are excellent .

I have stayed there myself, and fonud the staff to be very helpful. I"m sure that they will find a way to take care of your needs.
