AND NORTHERN SINALOA STATE...

AT 800 AM PDT...1500Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION LOWELL WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 23.8 NORTH...LONGITUDE 109.2 WEST OR ABOUT 75
MILES...125 KM...NORTHEAST OF CABO SAN LUCAS MEXICO AND ABOUT 140
MILES...225 KM...SOUTH OF LOS MOCHIS MEXICO.

THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST NEAR 10 MPH..AND THIS
GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS. ON
THIS TRACK...LOWELL WILL MOVE OVER THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE GULF
OF CALIFORNIA TODAY AND INTO MAINLAND MEXICO TONIGHT WHERE IT WILL
QUICKLY DISSIPATE.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 30 MPH...45 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. LITTLE CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 24
HOURS...AND RAPID WEAKENING IS EXPECTED AFTER LOWELL MOVES INLAND
OVER MAINLAND MEXICO. HOWEVER...HEAVY RAINFALL WILL STILL BE
POSSIBLE ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN BAJA AND MAINLAND MEXICO.

THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1001 MB...29.56 INCHES.

LOWELL IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL ACROSS

DEPRESSION LOWELL WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 26.0 NORTH...LONGITUDE
109.0 WEST OR ABOUT 15 MILES... 20 KM...NORTH OF LOS MOCHIS MEXICO.

THE SYSTEM IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 10 MPH. THIS GENERAL
MOTION IS EXPECTED OVERNIGHT.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 25 MPH...35 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. LOWELL SHOULD LOSE ALL TROPICAL CHARACTERISTICS OVERNIGHT.
