Me, I predict that the next big hurricane to come out of the Gulf of Mexico could be picking up crude oil as well as water from the sea and dumping it in the rain and wind onto land it hits, It maybe a different hurricane season next time around for lots of reasons

Were ready here in Houston.

We have a whole house generator so no loss of power for us.

Last year with Ike, our house always had full power while we left for our cruise in Alaska. The rest of Houston went without power for weeks.

Default should I have booked for mid-September 2010?

Hello all!

I booked our first cruise a few weeks ago. We will sail out of Miami on 9/13/10 and I am starting to wonder if I should have booked for this time. I am really happy with our cabin location and hate to think about cancelling and starting over but am wondering about hurricane season.

Any advice?
Thanks in advance!

Hurricane season will still be around. You can never predict the weather; so just go with the flow and hope your skies are sunny. Have a wonderful time and have fun.

I heard last night that there is already a disturbance somewhere.... I didn't pay that much attention to it though. It is not enough to be even a TD but they are watching it....
