Discussion and 48-hour outlook------------------------------at 500 PM EDT...2100 UTC...the center of the remnants of TropicalStorm Colin was located near latitude 15.8 north...longitude 53.8west. The remnants are moving toward the west-northwest near 35mph...56 km/hr...and this motion is expected to continue with asignificant decrease in forward speed during the next couple ofdays. On the forecast track...the remnants of Colin are expectedto pass to the northeast and north of the Leeward Islands Wednesdayand Wednesday night.
Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph...65 km/hr...with highergusts. Slow weakening is expected during the next couple of days.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 35 miles...55 kmto the north of the center.
