Well, now that I have my cabin, my hotel, and my flight figured out, there's nothing left to do but twiddle my thumbs and wait 5 months.

Linda, there is also working to pay for it. And now that I have opened that can of worms...why do we have to work 6 months to get a week of fun? Then you are worn out from the week of fun because your system just isn't used to it. There is something wrong with America today !

Hi everyone! I too will be cruising with you all. I will be the third wheel in Jeanette and Debbies cabin I am Cynthia and am Debbie's daughter. Pretty excited to go east! Due to Ike, I never made it to the eastern Caribbean.
Good morning everyone! It sounds like for once we are all having great weather at the same time. THAT won't last long, I'm sure.
I think on this trip I'm going to try and get everything I can paid for ahead of time. I'll send wine/booze to my cabin ahead, tuck away the hotel money, and buy those Fun Ship Dollars, so my bill at the end won't be so big. Not only is Christmas in between now and then, but it sounds like I might be driving up to Portland with my younger son to Thanksgiving with my older son! Woohoo! Fun, but of course Mom pays for everything.
Anywho, I hope everybody is having a great weekend in Glory Village. Ray, we're still waiting for that picture of Sugar Plum on the lawn mower!

Hey Glory Villagers from the Great White North!!!! Uhm, still sort of nice here, still warm enough to wear shorts and a tank top in the house, but soon will have to move to a sweatshirt and shorts when the snow flies..
Linda--Must be nice to have it all organized. I will have my flight booked by late November. I may, or may not, decide to fly out two days early again depending if the flights are cheaper to go two days before.
Phil & Liz-- ca't relate to your vacation schedule at all...I get four weeks of holidays a year and in five years I will be at five weeks holidays, if I am still working where I am that is......I guess Canadians are luckier than Americans, maybe it is cuz of the cold we get better holidays....you know cram a whole year of fun into three or four short weeks a year between June-August....

April--I was very lucky and fortunate to have won. Now I would have preferred the $20G jackpot, or even the $4000 cuz that would have meant I could have had enough money to sail on the Magic in Nov of 2011 AND take Feb through May's saving to pay down my credit card!!!! Now my goal is to get some of that luck on the daily scratch lotto tickets I buy. If I can win enough as I did for the last cruise (around $650 Canadian) I will be so tickled cuz that could be an extra credt card payment and some extra money to pay the $1 machine and try for the $4G or 20G jackpot *BG*.... However, there is over four months for me to play the lotto with the hopes of winning the lotto!!!!!!

It's been a busy weekend, and looks like next week isn't going to be a lot better. This evening I have been working on paperwork..... yuck! I need a drink and I need a cruise! Not necessarily in that order.

Just checking in to say Good Morning and that time isn't going fast enough yet. Of course it never does when you have a cruise booked.
Where is everyone from? I can see some of them on your profiles. I'm in Columbia Missouri which is a long way from any cruise port. I've wanted to ask Carnival when they are sending a ship up the Missouri river because I could grab it quickly there.
Also Texans, my sister lives in Denton, TX. Anyone close to there?

Well, nothing very exciting going on here. It was a little cooler today, but will go back into the 80's for the rest of the week. Geez, I HATE Mondays! Thanks goodness for that nice big glass of vino at the end of the day!

Cindy, we are in Alvin, which is 40 minutes from the port in Galveston. Sure is convenient for those quick getaways!
Also, regarding someone closer to your age, we may have to recruit someone, once we board. Shouldn't be too hard. We have some pretty good balcony parties. As far as shaking my booty..... it shakes everytime I walk!

It did not seem right to be this close to Mississippi and not stop by the Beau Rivage Casino and donate the few remaining dollars that I have. We will be taking a slight detour and heading for Biloxi in the morning. Will probably have lunch at Mary Mahoney's Old French House a local favorite. Maybe I will have some of April's good luck.
