Kay, are those pictures from Georgia? This has to be some kind of record for snow. I think I read some place that there is snow on the ground in 48 states. Caribbean here we come. Mike

Mike
Yes the pics are from North Georgia taken 1/12/11 after we returned from the Elation (and Biloxi).
We have already had two snow storms this year instead of the usual one every three years.
It has been many years since we had 6-7 inches of snow. It is usually just an inch or two.

Good news Scurvy, you made the world a better place with your sacrifice. You see, Phil was off work today, and when I got home he had cooked dinner (from frozen state to eatable) and had the laundry started. It was so nice to come home to that.

The best part, he didn't even break a sweat. Baby steps I always say!!

So, to you Jim, I say THANK YOU

Hey, I think I need to move to Texas!! Actually, I don't even know what our rules for vanity plates are. 6 characters, 7 characters, who knows? But it wouldn't be the same to have a CA plate that says Cowboys.

I have an honorary Texas passport already, that should count for something, right?? Think they'll give me a license plate based on that?

Well, it's only 6 weeks from today till I hop on a plane to come and see all of you! Woohoo!!!

, hi Mo! Oops, did I call you crazy? I must have flashed back to the Grand Princess. Or maybe I had you confused with your brother.

That sucks about Jerry's bursitis. He needs to get all fixed up so he can keep up with everybody on the cruise!

So, Liz, you're one of THOSE people. , I don't clip coupons, but I'm always up for a bargain. It's pretty hard for me to just pay full price for something. Ok, let's not mince words here......I'm CHEAP!

Happy Saturday everybody!

Ok so I know our great leader has plans to arrange a schedule of events for us whenever they get back from the fun & sun . When do they get back anyway? This weekend?

Does anyone want to list, just generally, what they are doing at each port? You could copy/paste after each other to keep an updated list.

John has shared with Darlene and the FB folks that there is some sort of excursion planned with him in St. Thomas. He mentioned that it wasn't easy since there are 6 ships in port that day.

As for us:

MONDAY 2/28/2011 Nassau, Bahamas 7:00 AM 2:00 PM
Don't know yet.

WEDNESDAY 3/2/2011 St. Thomas, USVI 10:00 AM 6:00 PM
Still want to do Duffy's. Anything else is cool with us.

THURSDAY 3/3/2011 San Juan, PR 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Last time here it rained so we didn't do anything. Could do the walk the Old Town area thing. Dunno.

FRIDAY 3/4/2011 Grand Turk 11:00 AM 5:30 PM
Don't know yet.

TC, I'll check again, but I'm pretty sure that I've already looked at that booze cruise and told you it wouldn't for for us with the time we're in port. Not sure why they don't have the excursion time on their website, but I don't think it gets back in time.

Happy Sunday everyone. Ray and Terry should get back today, hope they had fun!

Went and saw Burlesque last night with a girlfriend (her choice). It was ok, I guess. What's everyone else up to?

The booze cruise is from 1 to 5, so won't work for us. The more I think about it, I wouldn't want to do it that early in the day anyway. I may just get off the ship for awhile and walk around.

Baby Baby Baby!! You are so much faster than me I posted that this morning before I got a response email from the company You're right ... the times won't work out ... in fact "Mondays" wouldn't work out at all However the rep did offer some other suggestions for their Nassau tours that could work, here's athe email sent me ....

Hello, Trudy
I'm sorry but the Booze Cruise runs from 1.00pm to 5.00pm, what's more it doesn't run at all on a Monday.
However we do have a very good sailing and snorkeling excursion that has unlimited Rum Punch on the return journey and is available from 9.00am to 12.00pm, the link is below.
http://www.bahamascruiseexcursions.com/NassauSailingSnorkelingAdventure.htm
We also have a great Private Island Tour for 2 1/2 or 4 hours. ( I would have to check availability for that though.
http://www.bahamascruiseexcursions.com/PrivateIslandTours.htm

Also our Ultimate snorkeling runs 8.15 to 1.30pm on a Monday, you would have to let the operator know your departure time to ensure you got back a little early though.
http://www.bahamascruiseexcursions.com/BahamasUltimateSnorkeling.htm
Finally our Snorkeling Charters is available for the 10.30am.
http://www.bahamascruiseexcursions.com/NassauSnorkelingCharters.htm
Hope this helps and sorry about the Booze Cruise
Thanks, Emily

We can make sure we have time for the tram...an hour would be PLENTY of time. The view is good and so are the bushwhackers But that is about it. Great photo op.

Yeah, that's about all I want to do.....have a Bushwhacker and take a picture. But I won't cry if we don't make it.

TC, I got the same email, the same one I got months ago when I checked (I think I even forwarded it to you back then). None of those options sound good to me. I think I'm just going to play it by ear when I get there.

I'm just glad we have a little something planned for Grand Turk and St. Thomas. The most important thing is to be with all my friends, no matter what we're doing.

Woo Hoo!

I'm back. Cruise was great. I'll try to have review up tonight.
I'll go back and catch up on thread & emails!!

OK--back.

Jim & Kaye: What an adventure--snow photos look great though.

I will have a photo from Wet Wendy's in my review. Turns out I kinda know the owner, he's a former cruise guy! It is a very cool place and will be even better when they finish the expansion.

Glad everyone else is doing well.

Hey MO!!! Hey MO!!!

Greg: what did you do with the color? I'll try to fix when I do mine. Good idea P&L.

20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please don't let Kevin Bacon die.

Ray, glad you made it back safe and sound. Can't wait to hear about your cruise. I just LOVE being jealous.

I forgot about the Parrot Club! Scurvy, they're supposed to have great mojitos. And they even have a signature drink....
Everybody's favorite drink is a "Parrot Passion," made from lemon-flavored rum, triple sec, oranges, and passion fruit

We haven't forgotten about the cocktail party on Nassau day, Ray.....but I will probably still get off the ship for awhile.

Hi Greg!

Curious what the cruismates cruise is and how to find out about them! I am new to this site and am interested in taking some cruises and finding people to hang out with. Let me know where to find the info on this or if you could send it to me, that'd be great! My email is lyonskitty6@aol.com

Thanks so much!

Michelle

I think I'll probably end up on a pretty innocent ( ) walk around town and save my partying for the cocktail party. I wouldn't want to sleep through it! Of course if I find a fun bar in town, all bets are off!
