(So what are everyone's big plans for Labor Day weekend?) No plans this weekend, heading to Tahoe next week end for a few days. C feels the need to play Black Jack, and it will be a chance to visit (son) Erik and New wife....

Sounds like fun, Mike. I love Tahoe. I haven't been there, or to Reno, in ages.

I haven't been doing anything real exciting this weekend. I visited with some friends yesterday. Today I ran some errands and had to work a couple of hours. Tomorrow I'm cleaning house, because I'm having my son and his girlfriend over for lunch. It's just nice to have 3 days off.

Hey Ray, how was your cruise?

Darlene, you are living the life!! I wish we all had motor homes (or something similar) and could meet up somewhere!!

Sis.....your life sounds like mine. We can sum it up in one word.....OVERTIME!

April, you need a vacation! Meet you in Reno!

Wonder if Kay and Scurvy will ever come back home?!

TC, hope everything is ok out your way.

Thanks for the review Ray! I'm hoping with the Italian restaurant and the Red Frog Pub food, we'll be ok with the new menus and still get enough yummy food!

I also read your Alaskan review, it sounds like you had a great time! Maybe after I retire (in 100 years), I can do one of those.

they had to change my plate twice! Loved the place!

this has been a very long ... very wet & windy 4 days here! My area fortunately is hilly so I don't have to deal with the flooding, but there was a LOT of flooding all around in the lower areas. We did need rain, but 18 inches over 4 days is a bit much! it finally stopped about 1:30 this afternoon, the sun came out about 3

I'm going to miss y'all on the Nov. Magic hindsight being what it is, I wish I hadn't changed my original plans. Oh well I can't do it all, and I wanted a Halloween cruise so .... I'll just have to wait until March to give everyone the "I Luv You Man" hugs

Greg & Myrna are doing Asia, not sure exactly when, but I think now. They may be back on BC5.

Mo & Jerry are coming up for the wedding. Jerry is hopefully going to cook on Friday night and be the bartender on Saturday night. We're getting some food from him too so I actually emailed with him today. He postponed his surgery for a bit (bad back).

Should get it before end of the year or risk changes to coverage or at the least pay a new deductible.

Good point, Phil!

I hope Myrna and Greg come on BC5!

I'm spending today moving stuff to my new computer. Not a lot of fun, but it's gotta be done! It's pretty cool to have a new one.....the other one was falling apart.

Tomorrow is football day! Yay, can't wait!!

What's everyone up to this weekend?

Goooood evening!

From wonderful West Yellowstone, MT! We have been enjoying the park. Seen lots of elk and buffalo, but no bear, sheep, moose, or wolves. Sure been enjoying the nice temps.

However, is it November, yet?

Linda, I hate getting a new computer, but it quickly turns to love, as soon as I have it configured the way I want it. It is sure a time consuming process. Were you able to squeeze in any music or wine this weekend? I mean, don't you deserve a break?

TC, glad to hear that you didn't have any problems with the floods. My heart goes out to the people in the northeast. Been there -- done that!

Snooze, I guess you and Sugar Plum are deep into wedding mode. At least Sugar Plum is, and you're busy staying out of the way and doing all the "Honey, do this. Honey, do that" -- smart man, that you are!

Scurvy, have you and Kay caught your breath, from all the traveling? As much as I like to go, I'm always glad to get home, too.

Snooze, be sure to tell Mo and Jerry that we send a shout out their way!

Mike, I know you and Carole will enjoy your visit with Erik. Tell Carole that I said good luck in the casino!

Well, I'm pooped, so good night, my friends! See you in a couple of months!

Hi Darlene! Glad to hear you're enjoying Yellowstone. I haven't been there since I was a kid.

I finished up the computer stuff yesterday. It's sure a heck of a lot faster than the old one! It will be even faster when I make the switch over to cable internet from DSL.

Today I'll be going by the sports bar to check out a couple of the football games. So I'll be drinking beer instead of wine. But it will be fun! I'm so glad it's football season again. Go Cowboys!

(Hi Darlene! Glad to hear you're enjoying Yellowstone. I haven't been there since I was a kid.) Linda same here, I seem to remember I just got my drivers license and my Dad let me drive the car. Would have been okay but I almost hit a deer. Coming from Nor Cal you don't expect those things to just be walking across the road.... Back from Reno wonderful trip, great visit with Erik I forget what a good looking kid (32) he is. Erik and Erin, seem very happy together, and isn't that what we all want for our children... Darlene, C managed to win, started off a little rough but she managed to turn it around.... I enjoy travel but am glad to be home.. Paradise here we come...I need to wash the car and thinking of taking it to a car wash... Am I lazy, you bet.... Take care all, Mike

That's a great price. BC5 flights or for that price just come to Texas and visit the ranch.

Linda, many of these that I get do have that restriction but I don't know if this one had it.

I caught it on my phone at work so I didnt read it all, just saw the deal and forwarded it to all I could that I had email for on my phone. I should put yours, Mike, in my phone since you will need them. I get them all the time but you have to act fast. Alas this one now says " Sorry this deal is over or has been sold out!.."

OMG, I remember pay phones! AND rotary dials! I don't think I was ever on a party line, though.

Wow, there are some great airfares showing up between CA and TX! Maybe we aren't supposed to wait until November!

(OMG, I remember pay phones! AND rotary dials!) Linda, I remember party lines that did not last to long, and our first telephone number Diamond 41012 is etched in my brain. I think my mother taught it to me so i could call home if needed.... Paradise here we come!!

Mike, I'm jealous that you get to cruise so soon! I know you'll have a great time.

So what's this I hear about Texas getting some rain????
