Hi, As you know because we've already "talked" we're on this one too. I'm trying to get us lined up for private tours as I don't want to do ship's excursions. They are always overpriced.

Let me know what private tours your planning...Getting frustrated trying to find the Jewish Jerusaleum tour overnight.. several are already booked.

So Felix.... how did u like the Equinox? .... a couple more wks and I'll be on it.... Tell me.... how did u like the ship..... the food..... ur cabin .... is it as fancy as I've heard it to be? ..... Were people dressed to the tee for dinners? And what about formal nights....were there special dinners? I know .... ... a lot of questions.... I just want to hear from someone who has been on her.... I'm excited about going during the New Year... so forgive me .... This will be my first cruise on Celebrity... no movies under the stars, no laundry room.... hv to pack more clothes then I'm used to .... got spoiled on Princess ... wanted to try a different cruise line this holiday season..... Equinox seemed like the one.

We did not do the Equinox for the Holy Land. We ended changing to the Azamara Journey. However we have just got off ther Equinox from an 11 day Caribbean. I have to tell you the food was the worst we've ever had in around 35 cruises. They use the cheapest cuts of meat and try to drown them in sauces. Doesn't help.

The cabins were fine. Lost of storage room. Balcony was quite adequate. Bathroom was a good size. You can send laundry to be done. I did twice but I had coupons so didn't have to pay for it.

Most people did dress formally on the 2 formal evenings. The shows were excellent. We ate at Tuscan Grill and that was the only place where we were able to order a steak which was excellent. If we could have got reservations every other night we would have.

When we were on the Solstice in May we found Morano's perfect - this time terrible.

The lobster in both the dining room and Morano's was a complete waste of money. Tiny tiny and drowned in sauce (not drawn butter). Absolutely tasteless.

The ship itself is beautiful. The Solstice deck is a nice place to sit and enjoy the sun and a good book. The Sky Lounge is a nice place to sit and watch from the front of the ship.

We just returned last night so I must get unpacking and laundry done but if you have any specific questions let me know.
