Galaxy December 29th 11 days..anyone going?
 

Hi! My friend and I are going out from San Juan December 29 for 11 days. Any out there going? We would love to talk to some people before we leave.

We are thinking about going but want to know if this is a 'family' cruise with lots of children.

We were told that this was not a ship with a lot of children. That it catered to a more older crowd. hope that helps.

So glad to see this thread. I am on the "other" cruising board more and haven't been here for a while. I've started Meet on Board threads here before and never got any response.
DH and I booked this cruise last Jan. while on Mercury to Aust/NZ. We also booked Summit to the Med. for next June. Unfortunately, DH passed away last Aug. My TA told me to wait and not cancel right away in case I could find someone else to go. DH's sister is going with me and we are both excited about the cruise. It's her first so I get to be her cruise mentor. My TA said I would probably need a cruise by then and she is soooo right. Looking forward to it is helping SIL and me get through the holidays. She lost another brother 5 yrs ago in Aug. and her mom just last year.
I am hoping my SIL gets hooked on cruising and wants to go in June, too. I do have a friend who says she will go if no one in the family can.
The lesson to everyone is--don't put off the fun stuff. We had 8 cruises in 6 yrs. plus 12 yrs of weekends at our weekend lake home.
We are flying in a day early and staying at the Condado on the beach near the pier. DH and I stayed there in '04 before our 7-night cruise on Adventure of the Seas.

OOOPS! Sorry, I misread the date. I don't know how to delete this. When I saw the topic page again I saw my own attempt to get the roll call going and it still has no posts. :( So I checked and found that I had totally misread the date on this one. We are going Jan 19th. Hmmm, the eye dr said my glasses didn't need changing. :-?

[/i][/b][i]We will be on board the Galaxy on 12/29. This is a very "port intensive" cruise, with only a couple of sea days. Have you planned your port activities or are you going to wing it? Celebrity will host a party if 25 people sign up (Cruise Critic BB), but only have 14 so far. Good itinerary and Celebrity does a nice New year's cruise! We sailed with them to ring in 2004!
