Share A Shore Excursion In Italy :: Home

look under yudell

this is the way to go if we get to 7 people itll cost 85 euro

you need to prepurchase online vatican and collisium tickerts-very easy to do

This Tour does not include any admission ticket. .If you select this tour and decide to purchase tickets on your own please purchase Colosseum open tickets for the day of the tour and please buy Vatican admission tickets for 2.00 pm entrance , not later. We will allow about 1 hour time at the colosseum and 2 hours at the Vatican Musuem so for those who do not have skip the line tickets they may try to buy tickets on site and wait in line or wonder around the area until other guest with tickets finish their visit. It is strongly recommended to have these tickets ahead of time

During the day you will visit the magnificent Vatican City. Visit the fascinating Vatican Museums that were founded in year 1503 when the newly elected Pope, Julius II placed a full-size statue of Apollo in Chains. Since then, many different works of art were added to the church, discover the Gallery of Tapestries, a collection of tapestries of different fabrics from the 16th and 17th centuries and the Gallery of the Candelabra, created in 18th century which contains classical Roman sculpture which dates from the 3rd century B.C. to the 3rd century A.D.Located alongside these museums is the Sistine Chapel built in the second half of 15th century and famous because of its beautiful frescoes, especially the ceiling and the Last Judgement painted between 1508 and 1512 by Michelangelo. Exit the museums and enter the remarkable Vatican Square of St. Peter, with its ellipse of encircling columns in front the impressive St. Peter’s Basilica, traditionally believed to have been erected over the spot where St. Peter was buried after his martyrdom in Rome around 64 CE. Guests that do not have a walking guide for the vatican musuem tour will not be allowed to access St Peter's Basilica directly from the Vatican , so they will have to get back to the car , drive to St Peter's and wait security line (It could take about 1 hour). We do suggest to have a walking guide in order to visit also St Peters Basilica without waiting in line . You will also be seeing the Victor Emanuel monument (the first king of united Italy), also called the “Wedding Cake”, built from 1885-1911 and located in the very heart of Rome, Piazza Venezia. Today, the monument contains Italy's tomb of the unknown warrior from the First World War and is also the home to an historical institute and museum. Climb to the top of the famous Capitolin Hill, over steps that designed by Michelangelo, to observe the superb panorama of the Roman Forum and the Rostrum that stands upon it, a platform from where Rome's leaders addressed the city's people. Visit the most impressive and artistic Trevi Fountain in Rome that covers an entire side of Piazza Poli. Then on to Piazza Spagna, If time permits take a stroll through Piazza Navona, a marvel of light and sculpture with its three Baroque fountains by Bernini, a short walking distance from the Pantheon, a classic Roman temple built by Agrippa in 27BC. Tour the vast Colosseum and imagine it in its grandour, explore this well renowned structure; a symbol of Rome, today standing with original wall sections at their full height and exposed sub-arena pens. Conclude with one of the most important commemorative monuments of antiquity, the highest and best-preserved arch of triumph in Rome, the Arch of Costantine, located in the valley of the Colosseum that represents victory over Maxentius in the battle at the Milvian Bridge in 312 CE. We remind our guest that this is a sample itinerary and we may change it according to local traffic conditions .
