Shore Excusion in Cozumel

We are on the 11/3/01 sailing of the Carnival Trimph. I am looking over
the list of shore excursions and we are thinking about hanging out at the Playa
Sol Beach Club in Cozumel...but I can't seem to find any information on
this hotel. I was wondering if anyone has gone there, and if the snorkeling
is any good right outside, or near the hotel?

Playa Sol Beach Club is one of the choices that cruise ships offer for a day trip. It can handle a lot of people, and they show up en masse on an almost-daily basis. There is a very nice beach and a lot of activities to choose from. It it about 9 miles south of San Miguel, between the Alegro Resort to the north and the Reef Club resort to the south. snorkeling along that beach, or at least somewhere close? Hopefully
within walking distance?
