Cozumel - Carlos & Charlie's - margaritas safe to drink?

I keep hearing that Carlos & Charlie's is the place to go in Cozumel. Are margaritas and other mixed drinks with ice safe to drink there? I've heard that in Mexico, the water is not safe to drink, and of course, neither is ice unless it's made with purified water.

Anyone have any advice?

Yeah. Get drunk and have a good time. Lets put it this way... If you drink alot of tequila you get the shits... if you drink water in mexico you get the shits... moral of the story being: Your damned if you do, and damned if you don't Have fun and don't worry....

I've been to a lot of the restaurants in Cozumel and they all use purified water to cook with and to make ice. None of the restaurants, especially C&C could afford to cut corners and use unpurified water for anything with a chance of getting bad publicity. I'm sure you will be safe.

No need to worry about the water, just don't eat too many oysters. My boyfriend and I had sooooo much fun here last year. Enjoy.
