Default Mexican Riviera

What is the weather like on the Mexican Riviera in Early December. We are on the Carnival Pride Nov 30 - Dec 7. We need to know if we need to take any cold weather clothing like sweaters, for the ship or ports?

The weather will be nice once you are in Mexico but the California part may be a bit chilly. I'd take a light jacket just in case. P.V. will probably be about 80 degrees f. that time of year.

Chuck, what about a month earlier, first week in November? I am thinking about doing the same cruise.

November is one of the most beautiful months in P.V. 80's with the occasional white puffy cloud. The humidity has diminished greatly by November. I have good friends who live half time in P.V. and half time in Inverness, Ca. They usually head to P.V. about Nov. 1st and return about May 1st. The weather during that time is fabulous. It can get a little chilly at Christmas but not terrible. I hope that helps.

Thanks!
I can't wait to go. We just made our final payment yesterday, now all that's left to do is count down the days.

I've been to Puerto Vallarta three times, twice as an independent traveler, once in November (gorgeous) and the other time in October (much hotter than late November).

We also took a ship that stopped there in November, and it was a beautiful, sunny day, not too hot. I think early December would still be very pleasant.

We went last year, November 3rd on the Elation...weather was very warm and pretty humid the day we were in PV. The other two stops were warm but with much less humidity which made it much more plesant. I had taken a jacket and a sweatshirt not knowing if I would need them but I am sure glad I did. Sometimes it was very cold on the ship.

We are going again this year...November 9th on the Pride this time and we are already making plans for November 04. Yeah...we are hooked! I have never been any other time of the year so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but November seems great to me.

Virginia,

I have taken this run many times, so I can tell you all about the weather. Unless there is some kind of storm, you can expect the following weather pattern:

Sun - NA
Monday - Mild / sometimes cloudy
Tuesday Nice warm
Wednesday PV - Warm
Thursday Mazatlan - Warm
Friday - Cabo - Warm
Saturday - Crap shoot, but most likely cloudy, unless you gey lucky
Sunday - NA
