Default El Cid in Mazatlan

I will be in Mazatlan this Dec for this first time in about six years. On My last port stop there, we elected to take a taxi to the beautiful El Cid Hotel. Even though we were not guests of the hotel, we used their pool facilities for the afternoon. At the time, no one ever asked for a room key. We ordered drinks from their bar all day long and ordered a fabulous lunch that we ate poolside. It was to their benefit that we visited their property for the afternoon.

Does anyone know if you are still permitted to use their facilites without being a guest?

Default Re: El Cid in Mazatlan

We went to El Cid for the day last November. We told our friends that just cruised in August about it. They were allowed to use the pool facilities all day also.
