Stone Beach Island/El Cid

Can going with a large group to Mazatlan Mexico can you tell me will have teens with us not real drinkers want to do banana boat rides, etc. Which is better Stone Beach or El Cid. Any information helpful. Can we do this on our own we will be cruising in Aug.

I'm still trying to get more information about Stone Island, but here is what I've discovered... you can take a water taxi over to Stone Island for about $1/pp round trip. Stone Island has a couple of restaurants (supposedly great garlic shrimp), and you can go on the banana boats, snorkel, horseback ride and boogie board for about $3/pp for each activity. Don't know anything about El Cid, but I'll be interested in what you find out.

I've been to El Cid, and didn't really think the beach was too special. Lots of vendors. However, the pool area is nice if you like pools. We were able to parasail and horseback ride from this beach, so activities are available.

If I was going again, I'd try Stone Island!
