I went to Mexico on a cruise in 1997 but I can't remember because I was only 17, do you have to change your money into Pesos when you get off the boat to shop?

No, everyone is willing to except dollars or pesos. Some might ask you if you want your change in pesos though.

No everyone accepts your dollars. But do not expect the same exchange rate at the bank. Most prices in the vruise ship ports are all in dollars.

If the store will accept credit cards and you feel comfortable using, this will be your best exchange rate. If it is a street vender, dollars work fine. All their prices near the cruise dock will be in us dollars.

I always bring small bills, so I don't get change in pesos.
