Default mexican riviera weather??

we will be taking an october 24th cruise of the mx. riviera aboard visions of the seas. i am an avid cruiser and know the weather in mexico will be hot.

can anyone tell me why people say to bring heavy sweatshirts and jackets becuase the forst day down and last day back on board is cold...

why is it cold, and is it really too cold to lay out onboard???

thanks

Los Angeles and Southern California can be chilly that time of year. Most likely however your weather will be glorious the entire time. I think just a long sleeved jersey of some sort or a wind breaker would be sufficient. It's not going to be THAT cold, I promise.

I was raised in the L.A. area and never wore jackets in October, but that's just me. Out at sea can be windy, however.

Mexico weather will be very warm and should be quite nice by those dates. The extreme humidity should be gone by then. Tha worst months for humidity are July, August, & September.

Chuck is right ... the first full day at sea can be kinda chilly (for us native Californians) -- about 65-68. But the next day at sea is wonderful. Same with that one day at sea going back.

We seem to always go to Mexican Riviera in October -- usually very good rates and weather is just fine (a little humid in PV, but it gets better as you go back up)

I also read here once that for every week in October that passes the weather improves and improves. I believe the tourist season begins in November.

On the at sea days, I just usually bring the beach towel to cover up if I get chilly -- we still end up for 2 hours by the pool.

On the Vision, you can just use the Solarium indoor pool and no problems at all ... in fact, it's my favorite place on the Vision.
