I want to go to Medano Beach. Has anyone been there? We would like to see some of the city for an hr.or so then head off to Beach. What about transportation? Any information will be helpful.
I'm so sorry that I missed meeting you on the Lido Deck on embarkation day. My ground transportation (a bus) at LAX was detained (the freeway was shut down for awhile because of movie scenes being shot) so I didn't get on the ship until it was time for the boat drill.
Hope you had a great time. The Pride sure is a beautiful ship, isn't she?!
Been to Cabo many times on vacations, medano beach is really the only swimable beach in cabo. The beach drops off very fast, 10 steps and you are up to your shoulders. Have restaurants on beach (the office is one of them) where you can sit at tables with your feet in the sand and eat and drink. Beaches in cabo are very different than in the carribean. Still must be a good swimmer to venture very far out into the water there. Most beaches are unswimable unless a boat takes you to a cove or something. The only exception is the Melia Cabo Real that is 1/2 way between cabo and San jose del cabo. They have built a protected cove using boulders as breakers. Very nice swimming.
Hope this helps.

We went to the beach over by The Office on our last cruise to Mexico. I guess that must be the area you are talking about. We took a water taxi from the pier. It was about $2-3 each. They have water taxis over in that area for return too. We had drinks at a place called Ozzy's. Nothing fancy or big by any means but it had a small...and I do mean small.. swim up bar which was good enough to keep us cool and steps away from the beach and other bars.
Have a great cruise!!
