Default Catalina Golf Cart Rentals

Ok Harry or anyone else who's been to Catalina a few times, any prefered place to rent those things or are they all the same? When we were there in March we took a tour and walked around.

We're going to be over there on a Saturday and Island Rentals said $30/hr or a 2 hour rental before 1pm will get you an extra hour.

How do Cartopia or Catalina Auto & Bike Rentals compare? Thanks.

richard

The last time I visited Catalina (about three years ago) I only remember one cart rental place and they also rented bikes. This rental place was just about in the center of town and about one block in from bay front. We did get the extra hour with rentals from that site. We had a great time. Make sure, though, that you wear your seat belts at all times. When we rounded the curve up by the Wrigley Mansion, there was a "cop" monitoring the golf cart traffic (he was sort of hidden from view). My husband (driver) did not have his belt secured so we were pulled over. Only my husband could manage to get pulled over in a golf cart by a cop in a golf cart.

, CeeCee on the golf cart pullover.

Richard, when I penned the Catalina article, I found out that the place in the center of town that CeeCee mentioned no longer does the one hour free routine, so I would go with Island Rentals this time ... where are they located?

Harry,

According to info I found on the net they are at 125 Pebbly Beach Road and the guy I spoke to said they were near the ferry terminal.

So we'll be buzzing around Catalina in a golf cart, what a honeymoon! <G>

The ferry terminal is where the Monarch tenders land, so it's about 3 blocks from the center of town (aka the Green Pier).

Thanks, Richard, for the new recommendation!!
