Taxi fare from San Pedro pier to Long Beach airport

Does anyone know what the taxi fare is from the San Pedro pier to Long Beach airport is?

Our taxi fare from Long Beach airport was about $35. However from the port to Long Beach to Long Beach airport was about $40. The taxis from the airport are less expensive than those frome the cruise ship terminal. There was a flat rate price sign ($35 I believe) at the cruise ship terminal but our taxi driver didn't honor it and we almost got into a dispute. Rather than argue, we paid the fare and refused to tip him because of his arrogance.
