We are going on RC cruise to the Mexican Riviera in February. Could I please have some advise on what you recommend for attire onboard. for example, Do we need sweaters, warm clothes, etc. Help would be appreciated, for it's our first cruise.

You will need a light jacket or windbreaker, especially while you are in So. California. Once you are in the main ports in Mexico, the weather should be quite lovely. You are well advised to take a windbreaker just in case of a chilly breeze.
Shorts and T-shirts are perfect for daytime attire at all of the Mexico ports but you can dress it up a little with resort wear if you so choose, but it is totally unnecessary because "casual" is the order of the day.
