I am traveling to Cabo in February and the ship's Land's End excursion provides a 40 minute "narrated" tour, which sounds appealing to me.
I am considering just hiring one of the local water taxis for some schedule flexibility, but I am assuming this tour won't include the narration. Does anyone know, will I be missing much? I don't really want just a 5 minute shuttle over to Lover's Beach to stop for a few hours. I want some time to view the formations, and do a little water touring. maybe about an hour or two. Also, I will be taking this tour alone, as my cruise buddy doesn't want to do this.
Can anyone suggest a "tour" I should ask for when speaking to the local water taxis? And even though it's a short port day, can anyone suggest shopping, sightseeing or casual (Mexican) outdoor dining in the area for after the water taxi? Thanks to all.
Baby, the water taxi tour at the pier is 45 minutes in length, so I think it's a wash between the 2. The going rate is $12. They will take you out past the "window to the Pacidfic," Lovers Beach, stop for a bit where the sea lions congregate, past Los Arcos, and then onto the Pacific side. Our driver has always pointed out what to see.
Restaurant-wise, there are lots of spots just along the marina, and we've never been disappointed.
It's such a short stop that should cover you pretty well.
