Default Acapulco -

Does anyone have any thoughts on what to do in Acapulco? I'm on the March 1 Carnival Spirit, it looks like we're there for close to two days and two nights. Does the ship dock in a convenient location? Any ideas would be appreciated.

thanks

I think that you may be reading your itinerary wrong. We are on the Spirit on February 13th, and our docs say that we arrive at 1:00 p.m. (in our case Wednesday) and leave at 2:00 a.m. Thursday. That puts us in Acapulco for only 13 hrs. Unless your cruise is different from ours, you may want to double check your itinerary.

Have a great cruise!!!

Daren, Vikki is correct .... I thought the same thing when we took the Spirit in Oct 2003. More on port ideas in a bit.

Daren, you dock directly across from the fort, so you can easily do that on your own. My niece, however, said that the taxis and sales people are very aggressive, and that if she did it again, she would have booked a formal tour.

I went on the Cultural one, which gave you a great overview of the city -- stops at the cross at the top of the hill, thru Las Brisas, Diego mural stop, past some old celeb's homes, and to the Flamingo Hotel for a beer ... oh and also the obligatory "shopportunity"

We are on that cruise on 3/25. Would love to hear how you liked your cruise on the Spirit.
