Default Sickness in Cabo - Montazuma's Revenge

Just to warn everyone, we just returned from a week long stay in Cabo San Lucas (Feb. 14-21). We were a group of 10 and 7 of us got sick. I needed the doctor in the middle of the night, I had vomiting and dirrarhea so bad and stomach pains. We talked to more people in a group of 100 and 50 of them were sick. We love Cabo and go there ever year and this is the first time we've had this happen. Just be careful, don't drink "any water", use the ice, don't eat food that hasn't been throughly cook, and eat only fruit that you personally peel, and wash your hands frequently. If you have any questions contact me at ppk347@aol.com. Pam

I've never had a problem with ice in restaurants there. I suually judge how much the eatery caters to tourists,. If I feel any uneasiness, I order a beer instead.

No. Ice has the same bacteria as the water! I suggest only drinking bottled drinks or canned.

Harry I know what you're saying, we have never had problems in the past but apparently they are having a problem there now! I wouldn't recommend anyone drink the water or ice and use only bottled water to brush your teeth and drink. I've even been told to be careful washing your hands with their water because that bacteria can live on you hands!

I wouldn't drink them. You don't know what they are made with. I would play it safe and drink beer or something from a can or bottle.
