yes, the Best western Long Beach offers free shuttle and if you have a vehicle they will babysitt it for the week. the rooms are $110 per night for really nice rooms. they also have a Best Western in San Pedro and they appeared to be more on the ball with the pick ups, probably because they are closer.
There are two hotels within fairly easy walking distance in San Pedro to the cruise dock: The Sunrise, and the Sheraton (I think it is the Sheraton, which is on 6th Street, one block west of Harbor Blvd.) About one mile from the hotel lobby to the checkin/baggage pickup point. Also, there is a "red car" trolley that runs along Harbor Blvd. (right outside the cruise terminal), starting at (I think) 10:00 am. We wanted to take the troller after returning to the terminal in January, but got to Harbor Blvd. at 9:30. Since we are a youngish 63 years old, we just hauled our luggage 1-1/3 mile to where we'ed parked the car.
Thank you everyone for the info. We booked the Best Western Sunrise in San Pedro.
They have complimentary shuttle and breakfast!
Harry, is there only 1 formal night on this 4 day cruise? Which night is it? Do the men wear tuxes?
Marie, if I recall, it's teh second night, and only one. On the 4-nighters, you will see many more suits than tuxes. I have even wore sport coats and ties before. The 4-nighters are less formal, it seems
