Default Help for PV

We have Cabo and Mazatlan figured out. Thought we had PV figured out too. Will hit some places that Harry suggested. Maleon, Rio Cuale and Los Muertos beach.
Thought we'd go to El Eden as well, but someone said it wasn't worth it. I know one poster, (kristine) loved it. We're not going to do the zip lines. Just looking to hang out, shop and explore a bit. Are there any places around that are a must see?

Any suggestions for this place would b appreciated. I'm reading as much as I can. Want to stay close by as well, not too far away.

THanks!

Bigsky, my one concern is whether you are planning too much into one day in port. You know your energy level, but our normal trek in PV is about 4-5 hours.

Well, the same thing I was thinking too Harry. Maybe just hit those places, have lunch and hang out at the beach until we're ready to head back to the ship?

Laura, esecially since you just planned to hang out, etc in Eden, I wuold just use that time downtown. Puerto Vallarta is my fave city on the regular route -- it's just gorgeous. Last time, after drinks on the samd at Burros, we took off our shoes and just waded and walked thru the water -- was wonderful and relaxing

Yes, I think you're right. We'll just enjoy the downtown and beach there. Looking forward to it! Thanks for your suggestions.

Hi Laura, I agree with Harry, too much in one day is exhausting. Pick a hotel near downtown and shop a bit and relax. P.V. is so friendly and beautiful and the downtown so easy to traverse. We really overdid the last time and ended up pretty grouchy. Our itninery had us there until 11:00 p.m. we had an early dinner { part of the cost of hanging out at the Krystal] and headed back to the ship for a power nap. Since most passengers where still in town the ship was deserted and we enjoyed the pool all by ourselves, pretty nice. we also had the midnight buffet on the deck that night so it was tiring. I know you will love P.V. Have a great time, June, right? Getting close, Kristine

Hi Kristine!
Yes, we were trying to do what I wrote PLUS go to El Eden. I was wondering if it was too much until Harry brought it to my attention. I think what we'll be doing will be plenty. I don't want grouchy teenagers on my hands either. ha ha
Will come back after the day at the beach and get ready and have dinner on the ship. Will just stay on board and enjoy what the evening has to offer. Sounds nice to be on board when many are off the ship too.
We have 49 days to go, but who's counting. ha ha

Laura, if you can, order a used Fodors Guide on Amazon, and it has a wonderful walking tour, and will tell you how to get everywhere. It's *very* easy to find everything we mentioned.
