Default Docking on the NCL Star

Hello all,

I am gathering information about sailing on the NCL Star next Jan. We are going to the Mexican Riviera and are in the process of picking cabins. Wanted to know how the Star docks at each port and any suggestions anyone may have about which side of the ship to be on to sit on our balcony and watch as we sail and/or dock.

Thanks

Annie :o)

Hmmmm, now let me think ...

When we were in Puerto Vallarta, the Star tendered in, so doesn't much matter then. Otherwise, if it does dock, you would want to be on starboard.

In Acapulco, you would want to be port (but you are just looking at a warehouse).

Zijuatenejo is a tender port, too.

I would say starboard would probably be the best.

You'll have great weather that time of the year -- not as humid.

Harry

We were on the Star last November. Great ship, if you are used to Carnival you'll find the balcony cabins small but nice. We had a mini suite it was very nice, but cabin size not a lot larger than Princess balcony cabin, except of course for the bathroom which has a tub and is just so much nicer. We loved it.
Zijuatenejo is our favorite spot. We don't do anything. Just sit on the beach an really relax. The shops are friendly and very easy going.

Over and over, everyone says Zijuatenjo is their fave port for this more exotic itinirary. And we said the same. Just beautiful!

Susan,

Do the balconies on The Star open up between and make it so you can have one big balcony if you know the people next door? We did this on the Conquest and it was nice to share a balcony with our friends.
