Default san diego airport

We are considering going on the Carnival Spirit for the mexican Riveria cruise. Can anyone tell me how far San diego airport is from the port. Would is be feasible to take a taxi? Also, how about a hotel near the port. Any help would be appreciated.

Evie - The airport is about 3 or 4 miles from the cruise ship terminal. The Holiday Inn On The Bay; 1355 N. Harbor Drive is just across the street from the terminal. Embassy Suites; 601 Pacific Highway would be another option. I believe both hotels offer shuttle service from the airport.

We stayed 3 nights prior to Our Celebrity Mercury cruise at the Holiday Inn on the Bay. FREE shuttle service to and from the airport, San Diego Zoo, and Gas Light District. I would not hesitate to stay there again. It was really neat the morning of our cruise departure to get in the glass elevator and see the bow of the ship thru the galss. You could almost reach out and touch it.

Have a good cruise!

I came back *so* relaxed after that cruise -- the two sea days going and coming back really helped a lot. A day or two after, people at work were still commenting about how relxed I appeared.

Oh, and Zijuatenejo is one of our favorite ports ever.
