I'll be sailing on the NCL Star next year and am starting to look into excursions. I've been to PV and Cabo before but not Acapulco or Ixtapa. Anyone have any good suggestions on what to do at either of these spots?
I have gone on my own on Carnival cruises but don't have any info. on NCL. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
We did the culural tour in Acapulco, which was quite interesting and allowed us to see a lot of scenery. You may also have a taxi take you up to the cliff divers later.
In Ixtapa/Zijuatenjo, we stayed in Zijuatenjo and just walked around and enjoyed lunch in the fishing area long the bay -- this is one of the prettiest ports. My lender did the horseback riding and enjoyed that, while others looking for beach time take a water taxi to Los Gatas.

Zihuatanejo is our favorite stop. And our favorite thing to do is "nothing" It is so relaxing there. We sit on the beach, order some fish tacos and nachos have a few pacificos and really enjoy ourselves. We take our cd player, a deck of cards and a few bottles of water. When we get warm we jump in the ocean for a swim. The waves are nice and mild. The shop owners are friendly and not as pushy as in other ports and sometimes we will stroll peacefully through the shops.
