I must preface this post by saying David and I really do not like Mazatlan. We've been there a few times and the best thing we've done is take a tour of the nearby colonial villages, which was a fine tour.
Given that, we are doing another Mexico Riviera cruise at Thanksgiving on the Oosterdam. What can we do in or near Mazatlan for a day that won't seem like a waste of our time on Holiday??? We are very willing to rent a car and have driven many times in Mexico and have no problems doing so.
Please give us your suggestions. We keep hoping to change our opinions of Mazatlan and need your help to do so.
Also are there any great restaurants we might want to hit at lunchtime while on this excursion?
Chuck, you know I feel the same way. The colonial tour with Frank thru www.mazatlan-tours.com was a great way to do it without the ship corwd. But maybe you want to finally do horseback riding, like we did on our last stop in Mazatlan.
It was a great adventure, the food at the beach restaurant was wonderful, and seeing the beaches at Stone Island was night and day difference ... didn't even feel like you were in Mazatlan.
Thank you both for your suggestions and excellent ideas on this thread and the other similar threads. I think we will contact you, Frank, before our trip in November. You are very kind and we can tell you are an excellent guide.
