Default Early Dec. Mexico Riviera

Our first cruise on the Pacific side. Celebrity Mercury Dec. 2. Have taken over 15 in the Caribbean. Arr. in San Diego 2 days before, would appreciate the weather range in SD and also what to expect weatherwise on the trip down to Cabo and back. Have heard it will be cool. All our Caribbean trips have been perfect weather so we need to know if we must bring jackets or sweaters etc. Thanks.

We love going in Dec. Yes it is a little cooler in San Diego but by the time you are in Mexico it is perfect. It will be in the 80's in Mexico, perhaps a lite jacket or sweater in the evening. We love it because there is little humidity and no bugs, so a good time lol. San Diego will be cool probably in the 60's perhaps some wind, again, a lite sweater or jacket. We went to Mexico in Jan. and it is suppossed to be the coolest month, it was fabulous, very warm during the day, so Dec, will be perfect for you. Which parts will you be going to ? Is Puerta Vallarta one of them? If it is you are in for a treat, it is so beautiful and tropical, enjoy, LUCKY!!!

Thanks, Yes to Cabo, PV, Acapulco, Matzatlan and Ixtapaon the Mercury. Being a tequila aficionado, cn you suggest any tequila tours or tequila shops for esoteric brands.

The one tequila tour we saw [ we didn't take it ] was at El Eden in P.V.. I would recomend El Eden for many reasons. It is tropical and there is a great natural rock slide that is lots of fun. You can do the zip line, the tequila making tour or just hike around. there is a waterfall that goes for miles, it is a fun hike upstream. Your itinery sounds like so much fun, you have a couple stops that we didn't have, I know you will enjoy them all, Mexico is so cool!

Lee, Kristine is right on the money. Expect the first sea day to be on the chilly side ... probably high 60s or about 71.

San Diego is normally very pleasant in December -- usually mid 60s and no rain.

Here is an article I wrote about what to do with your two days in San Diego.

I must clarify, I said a natural rock slide, it is but it is part of a waterfall so you can slide down it into a pool of water, hope that clears things up a bit.
