Thanks Harry for another great article. You are right those short 3 & 4 day cruises can get out of control with the younger set. As you commented there are places to go to get away from the yahoos.

Thanks Steve ... oddly enough, that was the only time it was so intrusive -- these guys aacted as if they were at a sports bar while at dinner. But like I said, the head waiter took charge of the situation.

This will be my first post on this board even though I have read it for along time. I usually post on another cruise website. We are taking the Monarch on a New Years Eve cruise. I was thinking since it was a New Years Eve cruise it probably would not have alot of kids. I do know, it will be vacation time so I guess I will find out. We have enjoyed all of our cruises and I think we will enjoy this one too. This will be the shortest cruise I have ever taken. I think for a New Years Eve cruise that will be fine. Joy, I think the Monarch would be great for New Years. BTW, we sailed her in January last year and minimal amount of kids.
