Default Acapulco taxi and guide

I just returned from a Mexican Riviera cruise which was fabulous, to say the least. We found a wonderful woman taxi- van driver named Rosie who spoke excellent English, planned the tour to our wants, and was a delight in all ways. She even returned in the evening to take us to the cliff divers, so she certainly made our day there special. She was very professional in all ways, probably because she has worked at Disneyworld and Cypress Gardens and understands the extra attention that means a lot to travelers. You can either contact her by email, artpros@prodigy.net.mx , or look for her in the parking lot- past all the vulture-like men that basically attack you trying to get you to book with them. Rosie wears a bright pink blouse, white skirt, with pink accessories....very stunning for sure.

We were with Rosie in December and we had a great time. I would highly recommend her. Service was just as advertised and well worth the $$$ spent. We enjoyed our tours and it was obvious from other tour guides she was very well respected.

This was a old post that I found but if any of you have used Rosie service I would be interested on a report. Where did she take you. How much? How many hours? Can't decide but always enjoy a local tour so we can stop and go as we please. Going in Jan 007. Yes I know it's far off but I am having fun researching.

Hi Iam so sorry I didnt get back sooner. I think I need another cruise. :o Well here it goes nothing but great comments on this gal Rosie. She was there to pick us up and had a sign with our name on it neatley dressed in pink and white when we met I knew we were off to a good start. She took us to the cliff divers and explained everything before we arrived she has very good english and she is very funny too.
After that we made our way to the Flamingos Hotel were she gave us a guided tour of the place were the Hollywood Jet Set spent some time in Acapulco. Then we had a stop for some nice shopping and after that we were taken to the chapel of peace up in the Las Brisas moutains. What views we admired that day. Now for the fun part I thought that we were going back to the ship and she asked us if we liked mangos. Si Si Si we said and she took us to her parents house were they have mangos groves right there at their home. What a treat after that she took us back to the ship and from there waited for us to shower and change and then took us to a fun restaurant called Senor Frogs we had a few drinks with dinner and lot of laughs and now a bit more time for a nightcap before heading back to the ship. Right next door to Senor Frogs we went to a bar called the Sky Garden to take in the fantastic view well having our last drink before heading back to the ship. We felt very safe with Rosie our whole day and when I say whole day I do mean whole day we were with her a total of 12 hours and she charged us 65 dollars per person. In the end we wound up being a group of four and thought that her prices were very fair for the amount of time we spent with her. She has a nice suburan van with good ac. and she also has a new email address that was sent to me with a thank you card. I have nothing negative to say about Rosie just a big thumbs up from all of us that day and we also gave her a nice tip aswell. Here is her new email address in case you might need it.
dew_days@hotmail.com
Hope you get a chance to meet her and enjoy your stay in Acapulco as much as we did.

your welcome harry iam a bit embarssed that i didnt come back and post sooner. after all it was because of this wonderful forum that we found rosie. so thanks to the others as well who took the time to let us know about this little gem of a lady in acapulco. rosie is the type of guide that you feel comfortable with right from the start and can adapt the tour to your own personal needs which we really liked. this time around we saw some new highlites and also new things off the beaten path which made it so special. so no regrets what so ever of taking the good advice given by others here at cruise mates. thanks again and with all this talking about cruising and mexico guess its time to start planning again. :o

Had an incredible experience with Rosie -- we just got back from the cruise today, but more later.

I cannot believe how much we enjoyed our day in Acapulco.

We hit Senor Frogs while we were waiting for the cross to reopen. The view is spectacular of the Acapulco Bay -- and it was much quieter than most.

I just emailed to Rosie today and she responded in a couple hours. She says she will be in Acapulco for the next couple of months for sure.

Here is her email again:

dew_days@hotmail.com

Harry

P.S. Make sure you use the underline and not a hyphen in her email.

Well, still no reply from Rosie. Doesn't make any sense, since I am getting others. Same problem with friend in Mazatlan. If I get a phone no for Rosie, I could try that. Thanks again.

Did you check your spam folder?

Also, send me your email and I will send it to Rosie ... like I said, I just heard from her today. If you want to send me details, too, (number of people, date of arrival, etc, I will forward that, too)

Harry

I bet it's in your spam filter -- go to your mail file and you should be able to find it there.

As I emailed Harry, we did hear from Rosie, finally, and we are set up for Feb 10th. We have room for more if looking for a tour. I guess we will be doing her highlight tour, should we call it the "007" tour??? Thanks to everyone here for trying to help. We will just go with her ideas for tour.

Just heard from Rosie for our Sept 29 cruise on the Star. she was filled but she will put the 8 of us on her other bus.
My question is -- is that with Arturo her husband or with a third bus i heard she uses? She didn't mention it in her email and i don't want to make a big deal.
We heard that the 3rd driver she uses has a very heavy accent is somewhat hard to understand. She did say the other bus follows her.
Thanks

We booked with Rosie in April, Golden Princess SF - Mex Riv, actually Rosie was booked so she set us up with Carlos, (who followed her tour) he was a gem, spoke very good english. Cost varies with number of people in your vehicle $40-$60. More bodies less costs. Carlos took us to a restaurant "El Zorrito" great food and service was excellent, it helped that Carlos know the owners. Great tour, great day. Enjoy.
