Default Seaworld

Is it less expensive to do seaworld on your own rather than thru RCCL?
How would you get from pier to seaworld if you did it on your own and what would be the costs?? How far is Seaworld from the pier??

Also--I have another question--How's the drinking water in Ensenada--is it something to be careful about (and always drink bottled) or is it safe to drink. how bout the ice?? thanks

I live in San Diego so I know where Sea World is and the pier. While it's not that far between the two, it's not that easy to get there via public transportation. I would guess a taxi is $25+/- each way. You could probably rent a small car for the day for the price of a taxi both ways.

Cost to get in for a day pass is $53. Plus they charge to park. If you are a member of the Auto Club (AAA) I think you get a 10% discount.

Hope this helps.

I just came back from Ensenda and I wouldn't drink the water there, or use the ice.

Thanks poster for the great Sea World info -- I concur (native San Diegan here). Honestly, though, there are so many ways to see San Diego and it is very cheap to get around on the trolley. I will include the link to the article I posted.

On water, I would stick to bottled, but we have never had any problem with ice in the nicer hotel restaurants etc.

Here is the article link:

P.S. Note, I have the wrong name for the Holiday Inn noted in the article.

I have read in a review of this cruise that the cost of the taxi to Seaworl was $20.oo. I dont personally know this person and I assume they knew what they were talking about since they recenly took this cruise! Is this an available excursion on the MOS? Just wondering since we will be traveling with two young adults who might like to go there instead of the zoo!

You can check for the availability of the excursion on the RCCL site. But I think it was offered.
