Default San Francisco Information

Will be sailing on the Golden Princess out of San Francisco doing the Mexican Riviera. would like to know a few questions.

1. How far from the San Francisco airport to the cruise port? How much cab fare?

2. Best reasonable hotel to stay the day before cruise. Also near some of the sights of town. If any hotels have shuttles to the cruise pier.

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

It is about 15 miles from the airport to the Embarcadero where the pier is.

An excellent hotel to stay at, located near all the sights and about 1/3 of a mile from the cruise ship dock is the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero Center. Cable cars will take you from there to Chinatown and over the hill to Fisherman's Wharf. The interior of the hotel remains one of the most stunning in the world.

If that doesnt work there are numerous hotels near Fisherman's Wharf, but they are almost as expensive and definitely second choice.

That's the good news. the bad news is that there are no "reasonable" hotels in San Francisco
Bon voyage

Default San Francisco

We just got back from San Francisco after spending three nights there after our Mexican Riviera trip from LA. We stayed at Nob Hill Motor Inn on Pacific Ave which is away from Fisherman's Wharf but was very economical and clean. It definately isn't the fanciest of hotels but it got the job done. We used Super Shuttle for our transportation and they charged us $38.00 for two to the SFO Airport one way. Due to traffic it took us about 25 minutes to reach the airport. The public transportation in SF was out of this world that is how we got around everywhere we wanted to be. Best of luck, we just loved SF and were fortunate enough to see Princess sail away from SF
